Te Wāhi Whakaora Rotorua and District Women’s Refuge is affiliated to the National Collective of Independent Women’s Refuges (NCIWR).

We hold a Level 2 Accreditation which means we are accredited to deliver the following services

  • Counselling and or programmes for adults, adolescents, child perpetrators and  family violence (Level 2)
  • Family support services (Level 2)
  • Refuge services (Level 2)

This is approved under Social Services Accreditation policy.

We are:

  • Assessed against 10 social sector accreditation standards
  • Assessed against the relevant specialist standards
  • Visited at least every two years by Te Kāhui Kāhu
